Aretha Franklin's son was released from the hospital after undergoing surgery following an assault at a Detroit gas station, according to the singer's rep.
Doctors performed emergency oral surgery on Eddie Franklin, 52, who eyewitnesses say was severely beaten by three men on Monday night. He was discharged the next day.
No arrests have been made. Authorities are also looking for a female spotted in the vicinity of the attack.
"We're waiting for [Eddie] to file a police report," Detroit Police Sgt. Eren Stephens told the Detroit News. "We still need to talk to him."
