Should Teachers 'Friend' Students?

Facebook used to be a site just for college kids. However, it wasn't long before the social network opened up membership to everyone.

Now people are using it to spy on their exes, kids are dealing with their parents commenting on their walls, and bosses are monitoring what employees are doing on days they're not at work.

By Cedric Muhammad

“We have no eternal allies, and we have no perpetual enemies. Our interests are eternal and perpetual, and those interests it is our duty to follow.”
- Lord Palmerston, Speech To The House of Commons; March 1, 1848

Open Letter to Hip Hop America

September 2010

For those who do not know, there are 435 United States Congresspersons in America, and 100 United States Senators, all based in Washington, D.C. when not in their home districts, and all of them together represent the 300 million Americans living in our nation. That is power. The power to provide resources, services, information, jobs, and loans for small businesses. The power to help people to help themselves.

That is why I am running for Congress. I come from a single-mother led household, I had no father figure
